kausheetakyopanishat: There are 4 chapters in it.
- How the jeevas after leaving the body travel to heaven through devayaana maarga and taking birth again or to enjoy in swarga loka the fruits of meritorious deeds done on earth are explained here in this first chapter.
- In this second chapter praanopaasana, soorya and chandra aaraadhanas are given. The greatness of tie between father and son is very well explained here. “aatmaavai putra naamaasi” can be well understood.
- Third chapter gives us details of praanaatmaa and prajnaatmaa through the upadesha given by devendra to pratyarthana, the son of divodaas.
- Fourth chapter consists of baalaaki and ajaatashatu samvaada about brahmatatva. This is also there in bruhadaaranyakopanishat
- First adhyaayam/chapter speaks about the influence of mrutyu on all items. The importance of “life–praanam-srushti” is explained. The best advises – asatoma sadgamaya| tamasoma jyotirgamaya| mrutyorma amrutangamaya – are given here.

- Fifth Chapter: Morales, srushti, eternal lokas, are detailed here. The shaanti mantra “ om poorna midam poorna madah……” is given here.
- Sixth chapter: There are pravahana, jaabaali, shvetaketu, uddaalaka and aarunih discussions.
