Seemantam or seemantonnayanam.: – This is most important samskara among the first three prenatal samskaaras,  which is celebrated before the birth of the child to protect the mother and the baby to be born healthy and wishing the lady a normal delivery. The seemantam will be celebrated as a festival also which gives a lot of happiness to the pregnant lady. From the fourth one onwards the samskaaras are called childhood samskaaras.
