Maitraayaneeyopanishat

Maitraayaneeyopanishat:  There are five prapaathakas in this upanishat. It is the mixture of padya and gadya mantras. In the first prapaathaka the incident of bruhadratha, the king ikshvaaku dynasty requesting the sage shaakhaayana to advise him on brahmajnaana is given. The second, third and fourth prapaathakas give us teachings about brahma. In the fifth prapaathaka the omkaara and gaayatree mantraarthas are explained.
