Upanayana samskara.: -The most sacred samskaara where, brahmopadesha will be done to the child by the father of the child and guru, and they make the child to wear yagnopaveeta. This samskaara brings the child to the guru, who makes him to learn the real knowledge i.e., gayatri mantra upadesha and veda abhyaasa. By this, the child becomes brahmaachari after wearing the yagnopaveeta. After this samskara the child lives with guru in the gurukulam for 12/16 years. At the age of 8 or 11 the child is ready to go to gurukulam.
